GEC2025 @ Seoul
We attended the GEC held in South Korea. It seems next year's event will be in Chicago and the year after that in Lisbon, so if you're interested in participating, let's work hard to achieve results worthy of presentation.

We held our first Jinpa in two years. Though it's called Jinpa, there was hardly any lamb, so it was essentially a BBQ. The Pacific saury was delicious. Many alumni came on the day. We look forward to seeing you again.

Our lab alumnus Dr. "H" is featured on a program as a young engineer striving at Rapidus.

First BBQ in 3 years This time, lab members and their families attended. It was a lively party with many children participating.

A kanreki (60th birthday) celebration was held for Professor Sasaki. In Japan, there is a traditional custom that a person who turns 60 years old must wear a red vest LOL

Degree Conferral Ceremony!
We were finally able to conduct the ceremony in person, and the degrees were conferred by the professor who is the head of the department.
I was really sorry to see the second-year master's students suffer from the corona disaster in their fourth year when they were assigned to the laboratory, depriving them of the opportunity to work in the lab and present at conferences.
At the very end, we had our first (?) real lab party. I am glad that we were able to have a drinking party at the end of the year.
I am sure each of them will be active in various fields after graduation, but I hope they will visit our laboratory from time to time.

Mr. Miyazaki was featured on the top page of the Institute of Engineering and Applied Sciences.

2022.3.24 Hokkaido University - Degree Conferral Ceremony
For the first time in three years, an all-hands ceremony was held.
The awarding of the prizes to the students was done by each laboratory.
We took a good picture of the ceremony based on last year's reflection.
It has been a tough two years and I am sorry that the master's degree students were not able to attend the conference, but congratulations on your successful completion of the program.
We hope that you will make further progress after graduation, and we also hope that you will come and have a drink with us as alumni to make up for not being able to drink for the past two years.
Graduates who were unable to attend will receive their degree certificates and commemorative gifts at a later date.

This year was just as tough as last year, but four fourth-year students and four second-year master's students (including Plasma Materials Engineering Lab A) graduated.。

The door to the 4th grade residence is marked as a prisoner's room.

We went to Jozankei hot spring as farewell journey.
There were many many alcoholic drink including very expensive rice wine. Take care about drinking too much.
